lower haight project

Putting collections together is so much fun!

From years of working in the interior design business, one thing I never really
understood was custom bedding. Boring and so expensive.
I don't want my bed to look like it came out of the Holiday Inn.
I love a wonderful mix of bedding.
Textiles from around the world are much more interesting.
Mix and match.
Texture galore!

Wonderful!

Everything in this apartment is interesting and loved by it's occupants!

steiner street project

We are going for a very neutral color scheme here.
Black, white and brown.

I love these built-ins in the old victorians.

These IKEA flotation shelves do a wonderful job holding treasures!
They look great for a fraction of the cost of custom ones.

magical accessories

I once overheard someone say at a dinner party to just go to Ross
and buy stuff to fill up the bookshelves.
I nearly fell out of my chair.
Look at this fantastic stuff from Past Perfect.

This is some sort of cast plastic.
Very unusual.
Very cool.

earth day 2010

I am one of those people obsessed with plants, gardens, yards, farms and forests!
Every inch of available outdoor space has something growing. Every window has a window box.
The building where I live has a courtyard and a back space between more buildings
 and I am growing things!

stairway to heaven

Talk about great design, this is the stairway at the Mechanics Institute Library
here in downtown San Francisco!
I love this library.
It's like being in Rome and going into one of the churches for peace and quiet.

These chairs are fabulous.

fan for life

I do love the look of a vintage fan perched on top of an old wooden desk.
They do their job nicely.
But.....

this blade-less fan by Dyson is pretty cool looking.

cool stuff

Anthropologie has wonderful items for the home.
Very creative and unusual.
This paint-by-number themed area rug would be so fun in a home office.

This chair is magical.
Very Alice in Wonderland and Dr. Seuss.
